Winter Puzzles

Winter Puzzles

by Judie Haynes

Got the winter blahs? Add a few games and puzzles to your winter ESL units. This is a good way to reinforce winter vocabulary and to teach younger children to do word puzzles.

If winter has your students in the doldrums, add games and puzzles to your winter ESL units. After you have taught the vocabulary for winter weather, give your students a puzzle to complete. Also have students make their own puzzles.

To practice the winter vocabulary even further, have students combine any three words from the puzzle into a sentence. Ask them to put all the words in alphabetical order.
